Karina Matias’ Bonfim Bangles

Like the Worry Dolls barettes you wore in elementary school! But for your wrist, by way of Brazil, and much cuter.

“Bon Fim” means “Good Ending”. Bonfim refers to the colorful ribbons from the state Bahia in the North of Brazil. Locals believe that the ribbons attract good luck and ward off misfortune. Brazilian people believe that “Senhor do Bonfim” cures diseases and fulfill desires.
