I got a really nice email from an up-and-coming jewelry designer and former Brooklynite, Lauren @ Urban Bloom. Her latest pieces feature real leaves covered (dipped?) in gold and sterling silver.

    thanks for the post. very happy to have followed after hayden harnett (huge fan of their buttery soft leather bags). if you want to let your readers know, the leaves are preserved in either 24K gold or sterling silver. they appear lacey and fragile but they’re completely sturdy. (i get asked that question by customers).
